3/11/07

Wow! What a weekend! We started it off by spending the day at the Zoo on Friday! I took a much needed vacation day and decided to spend the day with the boys. As you can see Brady got a new pair of sunglasses. Kaden has a matching pair but he doesn't care too much for them! So back to our day. We packed a picnic lunch and picked Brady up from school. Then we headed to the zoo for a picnic and some fun! Brady played on the playground while we ate. Kaden had his first sandwich. It was cheese and bread. He actually loved it! He also loved that there was an endless supply of goldfish packed for his enjoyment. We're working on learning to drink from a cup so here he is trying to enjoy some

water. Kaden loved the fact that he got to ride in the stroller all day. He just talked and talked to all of the animals. We saw the new baby giraffe, the polar bears and the pandas. We bought a membership last year and it's awesome! A family of four can go twice and it pays for itself. So needless to say, we take trips to the zoo when ever possible. I love it because we don't have to feel like we need to get it all in at once. So we can take our time and if we don't see it all...guess what? We can see it next time! I want to include a couple of cute pics of the boys before I finish the weekend.

Brady poses with the new baby giraffe. He's trying to look like he's petting its head! Look how proud he is!

Kaden on his way to see the polar bear. We acutally got to see her during feeding time! It was really cool to watch her jump in the water after the fish. Kaden just wanted to walk around the big room. He wasn't really concerned about the bear eating lunch!

The boys love to see the pandas! I think it's because they can get so close without getting hurt! Of course Brady had to point out that the panda had poop in the middle of his food! Don't you just love boys!

So our weekend just kept getting better! We had dinner with Tony Friday night and boy were we hungry and tired! I was happy to realize that I didn't eat more points then I'm allowed in Weight Watchers. Oh yeah...I lost a pound and a half last week!
On Saturday, we just hung out at home and cleaned out closets! The the boys and I had another picnic. This time in the tree house and Kaden didn't care so much for the cheese sandwich this time. We played and played and then went to a going away party for a friend who is moving to Brussels. It was awesome! Then today, church...two hour nap!!!! And a bike ride!!!!! I took the boys out tonight and boy am I tired! We have a little trailer that hooks onto the back of our bike and together they are about 50 lbs. I was pretty beat by the time we got home! I guess I'll have to keep it up to get into shape! I'm going to try again tomorrow night!
I guess that's all for the weekend. I'm about to go to bed! I'll post more pics in a few days I'm sure!

3/8/07

"That's very instresting mommy!" This is the kind of converstaions that my 4 year old has with me on a daily basis. He's beginning to talk like a grown up more and more these days. Well, he's always talked like that but I guess it's just really cute because he tried to use big words in a conversation. Isn't that the coolest thing about when your babies grow up!
On the other hand, Kaden, I would rather him not grow up at all. Next Tuesday he will be 11 months old. Here he is with his best friend Hayden. They are 6 days apart and complete opposits when it comes to personalities. Kaden is so laid back while Hayden is very outgoing. The night we took this picture...Hayden kept trying to play with Kaden's hair and Kaden was just crying the whole time and giving him dirty looks. I promise every picture we have of them Hayden is smiling and Kaden looks mad! It's so funny to watch them! I can't believe my boys are growing up so fast.
Tomorrow, I'm taking them to the zoo. We have a pass and it's awesome becuase we can go for just a few hours and still get out money's worth! So, we're going. This will be Kaden's 4th time to the zoon since he was born and hopefully he will enjoy it a little more this time. Of course last year he was way too young to like it! I'm taking the double stroller so I won't have to listen to how tired everyone is. I'll post some pictures. I'll try to get some really cool ones if I can! It's not like all of my scrapbooks don't have a million zoo pics so I'll have to be creative!
I'm so excited because I'm taking the day off to go to the zoo. It's nice to have a day where I have no big plans and I'm not in a hurry! I always feel like I'm in a hurry! Well...it's night night time if I'm going to make it tomorrow!

(Kim, Teresa, me and Kaden jumping in the pic! He's so funny!)

(Zach and Kaden)
All I can say is WOW! We hosted 10 high school boys all weekend. I loved it! They were crazy. I realized that I really am a boy's mom! I thought I was so girly but I love the attention that boys give their "mom"! These boys had a blast and Brady P was right up in the middle of it all. They helped my with Kaden and even cleaned up after theirselves. I love them!

(The boys during their lesson at our house)

The best part of the weekend was Saturday night. The college guys came over and prayed over our guys. It was awesome to see guys on their faces praying for their friends. I was overwhelmed! I just wanted to cry all night. Then our guys turned around and prayed for Tony and me! Wow! (Bro. John praying over Trey. He was one of our boys)

(I love it when the youth worship)

Our Boys!

Bottom: Andy, Tobie, Ryan, Jesse

God really spoke to my heart this weekend. As you all know I'm so not a merciful person...but I for some reason now have a heart for the lost! Not just lost souls but also the children in other countries who are parentless. You know I've been saying that I want to adopt from China...well I know this is something God wants for us too! I will continue to pray for guidence with this! It will be a while before we are ready! But I know it will happen!

2/22/2007

I love how awesome God is! Today, Brady woke up and started throwing up. It was not the best timing on his part. But, now I know what's going on. I started praying immediatly because we have a big weekend planned with the youth at our church. We will have 10 high school boys at our house all weekend and something BIG is about to happen. Well...what does that mean? The enemy is trying his best to keep that from going on! So I have news for him!!!!!!! Not at my house! I called my girlfriends who are also my prayer warriors...we started praying. I have prayed in every room of this house and guess what...Brady's feeling better! I know my God is good! That's all I have to say about that. I'm posting some new pics of the boys!
Please pray for us this weekend! God is going to be doing something very big!!!!!

The Festival of the Continents has arrived at our church! It's a week and a half long celebration of God's work across the globe! We pray for the lost in world and we get to learn about foriegn lands. Friday night we ate food from Cuba and Romania. What a combination.

(Brady at flag practice and the two of us Sunday morning at church)

(Brady dancing and carrying the flag)

Today, we heard a pastor from Cuba talk about spreading the news to the lost and we had a flag ceremony where we displayed flags from all over the world. This is a pic of Brady carrying the Brazil flag. He represented our friends the Isbell's who are missionaries in Rio. Check out their website. www.isbellfamily4jesus.com We love and miss them so much! Please pray for us this week. We will be going to many events and hosting 10 high school boys for our Passion Now weekend! I'm so excited.

The last pic is just cute of Kaden so I had to add it!

Well it's here! 32! Today I turned 32! I learned that I am exactly half my mother in law's age...and the same age she was when Tony was born! That means I will be her age when Kaden is Tony's age! Wow that's a lot to digest.
Today was an awesome day! I woke up to three awesome boys telling me how much they love me and Happy Birthday. I also had a couple of great appointments at work today and that was a great present.
Then tonight we had an amazing prayer night at church. We prayed over our missionaries and students. It was just awesome.
Thanks for praying for us today and all the well wishes!

32...in just 2 days I will be 32! Can you believe it? When I was little I thought you died when you turned 30. Now, I'm going to be 32! I'm married...two kids...and I'm 32! Wow! Who would have ever thought that God would bless me with 32 years on this earth to serve him. Well, I haven't been serving him for that long but he put me here for that reason.
I never thought in a million years...ok...in 32 years that I would have a wonderful relationship with my Lord and Savior...that I would have the best husband on earth and that God would allow me the priveldge of being a mother of the most handsom and wonderful boys here on earth!
So, I say thank you God! You are the most amazing, soverign, loving Father any girl would be honored to have!

2/1/07

I'm dreaming of a white birthday? Of course I am!!! It always snows here in February! I'm watching the news right now and they say it's snowing! I'll have to go look in a few minutes. This afternoon, the boys and I went outside to catch snow flakes! I took some pics just in case it's the only snow we get this year! You know I scrapbook and need the picutres!
Well...tough love has worked with baby number 2! On Monday I decided that Kaden was going back to his own bed. So, after 15 minutes of crying...he went to sleep. Night two was the same. Last night he went to bed at 9 and slept until 8 straight! And then tonight...He's in his own bed and no fussing! Wahoo!!!! I did it! Ok...I won't brag anymore because it'll come back to bite me for sure! Well, we're hoping for a snow day tomorrow! What do sales reps do on snow days? I guess I'll find out tomorrow! I'll post some snow pics soon!

1/22/07

Well...it's finally happened! Kaden has turned into a daddy's boy! Yesterday, Tony was able to go to church with us and Kaden only wanted his Daddy to hold him! Then when I got home from work tonight...Tony looked like every other mom! Baby on hip...cutting chicken for dinner! Welcome to my world! I walked in and He said..."Here! I'm hungry and want to eat!" So, I held him and fixed my dinner and ate! Three things only a mom can do!
I'm actually on the computer because McScreamy is sleeping in his daddy's lap! What a relief!
Anyway...the screaming hasn't stopped! As a matter of fact...if you take him into his room when the light's off...he starts! He only wants to sleep with me. Tony realized tonight that he's the only one in the house without a bed of his own! I guess he can have Kaden's since he's not using it!!!!
I'm about ready to tough love him! It's time to get him back in his bed...that is if I could get him well. His ears are fine...it's just this aweful cough he's had for more than a week! I'm debating on taking him back to the doctor! I know they think I'm crazy for always bringing him. But no one like to hear a baby cough all the time! It's so sad!
I need to upload my camera so you can see some new pics of the boys. I guess I'll do that later!
Have a great night!

He made it! We went for his surgery early this morning. It took about 15 minutes and he was done! He's doing great. The doctor was very thorough and said that his ears were formed correctly and there were no issues stemming from the cleft. He also said Kaden had something called "glue ear." Meaning that the fluid behind his eardrum had been there so long it was really goopy. It took a special size tube to get it all out. He said that was having an impact on his hearing and now he may be a little sensitive to loud noises. I will say that may be true because he gets startled everytime the clock chimes. It never bothered him before! We came home around 9:30 and took a long nap and he seems to be feeling really well. He's playing and actually eating his lunch with a smile!
Thank you so much for all of your prayers! We would not be able to make it without God and your prayers!

Prayer Request

Please keep Kaden in your prayers this week. He's really sick right now with a cold and he's scheduled to have tubes put in his ears on Wednesday. The doctor said they could do the surgery as long as he doesn't have any kind of fever! Please pray healing over him! He's been sick so long. I just want him to get a good night sleep and not have to be sick any more! Thanks for all the prayers thus far! I'll keep you posted!

Yes I'm the Biggest Loser! I'm just now posting pics from Christmas. But at least I'm posting them!
This is what Santa left the boys Christmas morning.
The boys on Christmas eve before Church. Aren't they so cute?
Kaden was the first to wake up Christmas morning. He's always so happy in the mornings. He was just smiling and having a blast playing with his new toys!
Brady coming down the hall with his eyes closed. He wanted to be surprised when he walked into the room!
"Look Mommy, Santa brought me Ice Age the Meltdown!"

Baby's First Christmas

First let me preface this with I will get some pics on here asap. As soon as I find my plug in for the camera! This place is a mess!

Now to the fun. It all started on Friday when my mom got into town. We went downtown to eat at the Spaghetti Warehouse. The boys loved it! Then on Saturday we just went shopping and hung out. Then on Sunday, the festivities began. We started the day at church for a wonderful celebration on my Savior. Brady was so excited because he got to go to big church and the kids went on the stage to hear the Christmas Story read by Bro. Jack. Then we did the candlight thing and the Lord's Supper. The best part was sharing with Brady about the Lord's Supper and why he couldn't take it this time but when he gets saved he can!
Then off to Christmas #1 with my Aunt Cheryl's family. Finger foods and presents and then we were off to Christmas #2 with my Aunt Judi. More food and more presents and more fun! Then Kaden and I went home and got things ready for Santa to come. Brady got home about 10 and went right to sleep. He didn't want Santa to skip our house because he was awake. So we all went to bed and when we woke up Santa had come! They boys got everything they asked for and more! We got to share Christmas morning with my step dad and his son's family via webcam. It was so cool. It was like we were all in the same house.
After we all got ready we went to one of the casino's for brunch. Kaden loved it the most. He's going to be one that gets his money's worth that's for sure! Then back home for a major nap! What a great day.
Today is also my mom's birthday! I love that she comes here for Christmas with the boys. They will always remember spending this special day with their special lady!
I will post some pics soon! Merry Christmas to all!!!!

12/23/06

Can you believe that in the past two days, I have actually wrapped 30 presents. I know! It's crazy. Well, it started a lot like this...I had tried to take my Grandmother shopping for like a week. She wasn't feeling well so I took on the task of shopping for her. Then against her will, I took the presents and wrapped them at my house. She said she could do it...but really? So, once I finished that it was time to pick mom up at the airport. Then we came home last night and I had to wrap hers because you know they don't let you take wrapped packages on the plane. Then, as I was wrapping, she noticed that she forgot to bring Brady's major present...which was a portible DVD player. So he only had one present under the tree from her. Ok...understand this...he's her favorite and she buys him anything he wants. So anyway...she ended up buying him a lot of stuff today when we went shopping so he has like 5 under the tree...and he still gets the DVD player.
I am so excited about Christmas. Tomorrow we will go to church, then to my cousin's house for round one. Then off to my Aunt Judi's house for round two. Then home for Santa. I'm so looking forward to when the boys wake up on Christmas morning. Mom bought us a webcam so PaPa Jim is going to get to watch the boys open up Santa presents! Isn't that awesome?

12/21/06

So you know for the past couple of weeks Kaden has been driving me crazy with all of this screaming. I mean...we've actually been calling "McScreamy." (That's his Gray's Anatomy name) So tonight before I put him in the bath tub...I looked to see if he's getting any more teeth and guess what.......He's getting a top tooth! I'm so excited because I was so afraid that because of his cleft lip it would actually have affected his teeth. It didn't! I'm so happy happy happy! So, I nursed him...gave him some tylanol..is that how you spell it? And guess what...he's alseep! Can you believe it? He's actually asleep! So I'm doing laundry...finishing my sewing for April...and if I feel like it I may start wrapping my grandmother's christmas presents that I got for her tonight. But I probably won't!
I don't have a pic of Kaden's new tooth because He won't let you really see it. But I'll post a pic of the boys just because theyare so darn cute!

12/19/06

Happy Birthday to Santa Bear! He's our Build A Bear pal from last year! We went with our small group and Brady dressed his bear in a Santa suit. Ok...I'm sure you really didn't care about that!
Here we are just six days from Christmas and the weather has finally decided to get cold! I'm so glad because it was going to be hard to get in the Christmas spirit with it being 70 degrees. I guess that's how the Isbell's must feel in Brazil.
McScreamy spent an hour doing his thing again tonight. Man I can't wait until we go to the ENT. I hope they can determine what's wrong with his ears and then fix it! Please pray for him. I know God made him this way for a reason. I'm just praying that God also will make it to where he's able to feel better too!

THE MANY ADVENTURES OF MCSCREAMY AND HIS FAMILY

This past weekend we took the boys to Nashville with our small group friends. It was one of the most awesome times I've ever had. We went to the Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and the coolest Ice Exhibit. Brady had the best time with his friends. And of course McScreamy partied like a Rock Star! That boy cracks me up. If we are not home or have company over he thinks he's supposed to be awake with the best of them! So of course today they boys slept a lot!
I'm posting a couple of pics from the trip. I'm sorry I'm not writing more but I'm watching tv...and about to go to bed!

11/28/06

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas." That's the song I heard on the radio today as I drove through the rain and almost 70 degree weather. Oddly enough I was struggling to get in the holiday mood with the weather like this! The news says it will be getting colder this weekend. Let's hope that's the case! I can't do hot Christmas!
Well, I have officially used up my 3% of mercy for the year. Yesterday we became the proud foster parents of a cute little puppy! Apparently, she was found in a dumpster. The Humane Society doesn't have enough space for all the animals they get so they get families to foster until they can find homes for them. Or...The families adopt. Brady is totally in love with Sadie. Tony is too. It's so funny to see him. He doesn't really seem like a dog person but he is!!!!!
Kaden on the other hand doesn't really care much for her. He really doesn't like it when I hold her. Brady's jealous of Kaden and Kaden is jealous of Sadie. It's a vicious cycle!

Thanksgiving was great and I'm already for Christmas break! And then 6 more months until Tony is out of school!!!!!
Have a great week all!

11/22/06

Can you believe it's finally Thanksgiving? Where has this year gone? I'm sitting here enjoying Kaden rolling all over the living room. He's really trying to crawl but he just hasn't gotten the concept. And unlike with Brady...I'm glad that he's a little slower with these things. The other day I sat him in the living room and walked into the kitchen...you won't believe where I found him. By the front door. Apparently he had some where to go and didn't want to tell anyone!
I'm so excited about Thanksgiving. I'm going to tell you about our family traditions. Mom, Jim and PJ come to town every year. This year we're having dinner at my house! I love that!!!!! Every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving, Mom and I go shopping. I found a website that has already posted some of the Black Friday ads and I'm so excited about what's on sale! Then we just hang out the rest of the weekend. I love this time of year because it's the only time my brother gets off of work and can come see us!
I'm posting a pic today of the boys with Santa. Of course Brady was all about getting his pic taken but Kaden looks a little scared!

11/2/06

I can't believe it's already November! I'm so ready for Thanksgiving I can't stand it. This has been a very busy week for us. Kaden was sick all weekend. He's starting to feel a little bit better. I'll be glad when he's completely well.
Tuesday, we went Trick or Treating. Brady was Superman and Kaden was Tigger. Of course Brady loved it and had a blast. Kaden just hung out in his cutie costume and smiled at all the people. I'm posting a cute pic of the two of them. Can you believe how big Kaden is getting. He's almost 7 months. I'm so sad that he's growing up so fast!

9/25/05

I have to say that there is nothing better after a long day at work than walking into my house and being greeted by the cutest baby in the world. I walk in the door and Kaden is sitting in his mega saucer and he looks up at me and just smiles the cutest smile and I see those cute little dimples...I just melt. Usually Brady is at the door waiting for my but he was taking the longest nap ever. We'll just say he went to bed late on a school night and was tired today. Anyway...Kaden was just so cute I had to take some video.
It just amazes me how no matter what kind of day you have...coming home to chaos and kids makes me so relaxed. Today I was accused by a friend of being obsessed with my kids...and my answer was Yes I am! My mother in law once told me you'll never know how much God loves you until you have a child. She was so right! I look at those boys and I just think if God loves me half as much as I love those boys then I'm the luckest girl in the world.

9/23/06

It's finally here!!!! Kaden got his first tooth today.....and I missed it! Well not really. He's been working on it for at least two weeks. Anyway...no one else noticed so I didn't really miss it.
Today I went scrapbooking all day. It was awesome! I ended up getting 20 pages done! It feels so good to have a day where I was surrounded by my friends and just relaxed and got to be creative.
Gotta run...crying baby! :(

9/18/06

Ok...Ok...Ok...I'm blogging!!!! I'm also posting some new pics of the boys. Today I would like to tell you about two of the most awesome things ever invented...magic shell and goldfish crackers. I don't know how I ever grew up without them. Those two things are what get me through the day! Oh yea....and the help of my main man...Jesus!
I'm rambling tonight because I'm all methed out on sinus medicine and I'm feeling pretty crappy. But I have some cute things to tell you about the boys. Brady has been playing soccer and he's so cute at it. This past week he actually kept up with the offense and stole the ball a couple of times from them. He's finding his strengths...and I love watching him play.
Brady finally got to enjoy his first day of school. Here he is all decked out in a soccer shirt...because he's all about soccer now. He's going to school 3 days a week and he loves it!

Kaden is trying to get his first tooth and he's not enjoying it at all. He hasn't been eating food much latily but he's still nursing pretty good. Can you believe it's only been 4 weeks and he's looking as good as he does. Yesterday we talked to the lady at WalMart that takes the boys picutres...She teared up when she saw him. Yes...I'm friends with the lady at WalMart...she takes great pictures! Well I'm so tired and I need to get some sleep. Enjoy the pics.

9/5/06

He just keeps getting more and more beautiful! Can you believe it's been only three weeks since Kaden's surgery and he's already looking like nothing was ever wrong. He got the stitches out last Thursday and we were so happy. He had to wear these sad arm braces to keep his hands out of his mouth. He was so happy when they took them off. I saved them. I will show them to him when he's an adult! I'm attaching a picture of him sleeping the other day. Look closly...you'll see a small scar and that's it! I actually talked to a lady tonight who didn't even know he had the scar! Man...doctors are awesome!

WE'RE HOME!

I just wanted to let you all know that Kaden is home and doing well! I'm posting a pic today. He's crying so I can't write much other than that God is Good!

Just three more days until the big day! We are so excited and so ready for Kaden to have his surgery. Can you believe in just a couple of days, he will have a whole new smile? I can't believe my baby will never look the same again.
Please pray for his health. Pray for his doctor and pray for a great recovery.

7/18/06

Ok so I know it's been forever since I've blogged! Well in my own defense...I have a newborn baby and don't have that much time to myself. Besides, I spend all of my free time scrapbooking because my mom is in a pretend competition with me to be more creative and up to date! I'll be taking her down soon!
I'm attaching a new pic of Kaden. He's so cute I can't stand it! He's growing up so fast. He will be having surgery in three weeks. I can't wait to see what he's going to look like! I can't imagine that he could be any cuter!

6/17/06

Can you believe I'm just two weeks away from returning to work? My sweet little boy is now 9 weeks old and a cute little fatty! We had his two month check up last week and WOW!!!!! He's 14lbs...24 1/2 inches long and very healthy! The week before I return to work we go for one more check up before his surgery. I'm so excited and so nervous about him having surgery. I'm excited because he's going to look like the rest of us...I'm nervous because he's going to look so different.
Last week a lady from my church told me she was born with a cleft lip and pallot. She was so comforting and encouraging. I am so happy God gave me this perfect little boy and that there are so many ministry possibilities. I can't wait to see where HE takes us on this journey.

5/28/06

Kaden is growing up so fast. He's six weeks old and already looking like a real baby. This past week we traveled to Texas and Arkansas to visit with all of the grand parents. It was awesome! We haven't taken a road trip like that since the kids were born and they did great! Especially the little one. He slept the whole way.
We went to Sea World one day and camped at the beach. Brady caught 2 fish and PawPaw Jim caught none! Kaden loved the beach and slept the whole time. Wait...there's starting to be a pattern! He's actually sleeping right now but I'm sure when I pick him up to go to bed he'll wake up and want to eat. That's his favorite thing in the world. Eating and sleeping.
I'm posting a new pic. He's so cute! He loves being in the bath tub. He actually cries when you take him out. He loves to kick the water and he just coos and smiles.

5/16/06

I'm so excited! In just a few hours we leave for TEXAS!!!! We've decided to travel over night so the boys can sleep. Tony is napping right now and I'm about to head off to bed! Please pray for us this next week while we are traveiling!

5/6/06

I am in such need of a break. Tonight, I get the little one bathed and fed...then I paint with the big one. Then I put the bing one in the bath and as soon as I do...the little one starts crying. Thankfully Tony is home so he takes the little one. Then I fix a bowl of ice cream...the big one starts yelling...."Mommy...I'm ready to wash and get ou t!" Can't I just take a break and rest with out having to touch anyone for a few minutes. KK is in his bassinet just starting to fuss and Brady is getting bathed by daddy. I'm posting a cute new pic. This is what "drunk on milk" baby looks like!

We've made it a full three weeks and kaden is doing great. He's starting to learn to drink from a bottle though he's not ever really excited about it! Big brother is still getting used to having the little guy around. He's still a little rough but he loves him so much. He's always asking to hold him. Today a friend gave me the most awesome gift. It's a small bassinet that runs on batteries and when you put the baby in it...it swings. He loves it. He actually slept in it for 2 hours this afternoon.

We've made it to the two week mark! This week was full of doctor appointments and great news. Kaden will be headed to the plastic surgeon on July 24th for his first surgery. Best case...one...worst case...two or three. The doctor was awesome. He was so kind and caring and showed us some before and after pics of his work. I feel confident that God wants us to use this doctor! I can't believe that they will be able to fix his lip so young. I'm so excited about that! Brady is finally getting used too having a little brother. He kisses him all the time. He wants to sit in the recliner with me while I feed him. It's crowded but I let him. That way he feels like he's a part of something. Please keep Kaden in your prayers.

One week old! Man we're growing so fast! Kaden is doing great. He's nursing every two hours or so and actually sleeping at night. I can't wait until he is sleeping all night! Well...I know that's a while now but still.
Brady and I had a date today and went to lunch just the two of us. Tony is working tonight and we're home just the three of us. So far so good! Kaden has already had his bath and Brady is about to get in the tub himself! I think we'll actually make it! I need to post some more pictures...give me a few days.

2 more days!!!!! We're just sitting here waiting on the arrival of baby brother! Of course I've felt really good today. Last night was a different story. I had a tummy ache and a few contractions. Then Brady woke up with a really bad tummy ache. Needless to say Tony didn't get much sleep. I took a sleeping pill and had no idea what was going on! But today the kid is a million bucks! He went to school today and was good. Then we came home and ate lunch and had a play date at the park with his friend Garrett. Now the kid is fast asleep on the couch and I'm of course sitting with my swollen feet in the air! I can't wait until the swelling part is over!
As for baby brother he's pretty quiet today. I guess he's resting before his big entrence!
Please pray for our family for the next couple of days! Mom is traveling and I will be having surgery! We want everything to go as smoothly as possible

3 days to go! This weekend was great...but no baby! Satuday...did I already write about this? Anyway Saturday Brady had a birthday party to go to and it was at the Bounce place. Then Sunday after church we went with our small group to Cedar Hill Farm for the Easter Egg Hunt. Brady was so cute I almost cired! They told the kids they could get 12 eggs. Then the lined them up and couonted to three and the kids took off! I was running behind Brady and I could hear him saying...."one, two, three" as he picked up his eggs. He wanted to make sure he got only the amount allowed!
I'm not real sure what the plan is for today...I'm still at home and Tony is at school....Brady's at the sitters! Maybe we can wash the cars and get them cleaned out today. Tony keeps driving my car and his is really dirty and I don't want to get in it!
As for baby....he's been really calm this weekend. Just a few aches and pains but other than that no sign that he's making his way this week. Thankfully we know that he will be here Thursday. I go to the hospital at 6am and my surgery is at 8. Feel free to come visit anytime after lunch or Friday!

Ok I have to be the saddest person on earth! Brady's taking a nap and I'm sitting here on the computer watching Spongebob! There's nothing on TV on Saturday afternoon! Thankfully I like Spongebob and I've never seen this one before!
Still nothing from baby brother! We went to a birthday party today and there were 4 pregnant ladies there. Also one of my friends who had her baby almost 3 weeks ago! She's already back in her skinny jeans! That's just mean! I'm sure it will be never before I get back into mine!
Tony's working tonight. He took last week off because we thought I would go at any minute but now we're both like...it'll be Thursday. So here we are...5 more days! Let's hope I stay sane that long!

4/7/06

Well I broke down and took a sleeping pill last night that my doctor suggested. For the first time in a long time I actually got some sleep! It was awesome! I still made many trips to the potty but I actually slept. Tony said at one point I kicked all the covers in the floor and he was left with nothing! I don't really remember that. Well...we are just 6 days from baby and I don't really think he's coming sooner. Yesterday at the doctor she said I'm dialiated to 1 and though I could go into labor she wants to be the one to deliver him. So I'm sure I won't be making any trips to the docotr this next week. Brady's about to head to the sitter and I'm going to go lay back down. I'm still a little tired Other than that we have a pretty simple day planned....nothing!

Do you see what today is? The coolest date of the year and I'm still not in labor! I'm trying really hard! Well not really I'm sitting in the chair watching Jeopardy. I'm losing today...baby has sucked out my brain! I'm so hoping that today will be the day! If not I go for mycheck up tomorrow and I'm taking my bag just in case. I'll keep you posted!!!!!

Ok...I'm not going to lie...I'm so ready to get this kid out! 9 days....or less. I'm hoping tomorrow is the day! I spent the day cleaning the house. And by cleaning I mean scrubbing. I dusted fans...I bleached light switches...i cleaned everything except the kitchen. It's tomorrow's project. Now I'm sitting here with color on my hair hoping I can bend over the sink to rinse. I've had zero contractions today and I actually slept really well last night. Something's up. I think the end is near and I can't wait! If not tomorrow I'm taking my bag with me to the Doctor on Thursday and hoping that she let's me stay! Keep your fingers crossed and pray a lot!!!

11 days to go! We just got home from church and Tony is cooking BBQ pizza with Dad's BBQ sauce.
I'm having a tough day today. I don't feel like it's baby day but I do feel pretty bad today. Yesterday was a fun day and I probably did too much so I'm paying for it today. Swollen ankles and the rest of my body aches. Even my skin. I'm hoping to make it through at least tomorrow. I need to work one day in April to get my car payment for the month. Plus my new boss starts tomorrow. I'll only be doing half a day. I'm really looking forward to taking some time off. Every one needs to have a break from work every once in a while.
Last night I dreamed about the baby. He didn't have any hair and he was very pale in complection. Brady was born with a head full of hair and he was already a little tan. So I'm thinking this one may be bald like I was and pasty like Tony! I can't wait to see what he looks like! I'm hoping for a kid that looks a little more like me! Hey I deserve at least one! I mean if we have any more "she" will be from another country and I don't look anything like an Asain! Hopefully we'lll be finding out this week! I'll keep you posted!

4/1/06

Another day passes and no baby! Not even a hint of him today. I had a sneaky suspicion that he would attempt an April Fool's joke today but nothing! Brady and I had a great day today. He played with his girlfriend for a couple of hours. Then we had a picmic as he says then we watched a movie in his room. This afternoon we had a birthday party to go too and then a nice nap. We finished off the day with a cookout at the Sayger's house. Oh yeah...Tony was there too!!!!! When I walked up to the cookout everyone way like "I can't believe you're here" I guess they are expecting the baby to come any time! I"m starting to no longer get my hopes up! Maybe tomorrow!
